What do you think of Britain’s ‘Golden decade of sport’?
You’ll probably know that the other day England and the rest of the United Kingdom were named hosts for the rugby League and rugby Union world cup. Over the next decade Britain will be hosting the Olympics in London 2012, the Champions League Final at Wembley in 2011, the Rugby League and Rugby World Cup, the Commonwealth games in Glasgow, the ATP tennis finals and the cricket World Cup and many others I could also mention such as the Ryder Cup. And it doesn’t stop there as England are overwhelming favourites to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018, London is interested in hosting America’s Super Bowl and there could be another Commonwealth games in the UK again!
For such a tiny nation to be holding all of these events is pretty astonishing. Even huge countries such as America and China would be pretty ecstatic if they were hosting these events in just a decade or so.
But some people are already asking if there is just too much sport happening in the UK. What do you think?
Britain sucks. I’m uninterested.

Is there anywhere I can watch rugby current rugby matches online for free?
I love rugby, but being Canadian and lacking any channels that even cover any highlights I know nothing about who’s playing when or where to watch. I know youtube has all of the matches, or highlights. The problem with that is that I don’t know what I’m looking for. It’s not like turning on the tube and watching the game that’s on.
Is there anywhere online that I can watch matches for free, that also has them dated or labeled so that I know what I’m watching? I’d like to start keeping up with the current seasons.
Any help at all would be great!
I don’t know if you have this server in Canada, but I’m on iinet and you can stream the Super 14′s etc for free, not to mention several other sports available only on paytv.

What would happen if a rugby World Cup semi-final match ended in a draw?
If it was the FIFA World Cup, teams would play 30 minutes of extra time, followed by a penalty shoot-out should the extra time period also fail to find a winner.
What is the procedure in rugby union?
This was mooted on TV last night when England, (Miracle of Miracles) beat France.
10 mins each way, then sudden death – first team to score points if still a draw after the extra 20 mins.

Did You Know 2.0

wic sport is tougher american football, rugby league, union or aussie rules?
American football has the harder collisions by far, and is able to be so intense because of the protection they wear. Consistently though, rugby league has huge collisions on a regular basis, though because there aren’t frequent breaks in play (like NFL) the hits aren’t always as huge.
Rugby incorporates a lot of strength and technique more so than the other sports (in rucks, lineouts, scrums) but not as many tackles are made in a game. However, being hit without the ball can occur (clearing out a ruck) and can be quite tough.
AFL I suggest is almost the toughest as it is the only 360degree game of the ones above, and you can get hit from any direction, any time you’re near the ball. In addition, the amount of running is incredible and endurance is admirable.
They all have their own positives, and are all tough in their own way. It just depends on what it is that YOU define as tough!
